SF Innovations Ventilator

A response to the COVID-19 pandemic for struggling hospitals with a lack of ventilators.

The SF Innovations Ventilator was a ventilator designed by a group of 14 undergraduate students from all over North America in a span of 14 days. The fully automated, mostly 3D printed and DFM & DFA focused mechanical respirator used pressure differentials and a touchscreen GUI for emergency use.

This project was a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. From North America's top universities, including McGill University, University of Toronto, Stanford University, and Concordia University, we decided to use our backgrounds in Engineering and Medicine to help our community. This project was completed virtually during the quarantine period.
